To all you sweethearts who told me that you’d been struggling with insecurities and demons, that you’re unsure of your sexuality, that you feel lonely, that you feel like you’re in a dark place that you’ll never crawl out of, don’t give up.  I want you to take it from someone who’s been in that dark place many many times.   I’m not going to give you the ‘it gets better’ speech.  I’m gonna tell you what I learned from all the darkness I walked through.  It doesn’t always get better, but you get stronger.  Right now, as you’re struggling, you’re becoming a better, stronger person than those bright-eyed creatures who are floating through life.  This time in your life is dark, but you will come out the other side and you will be strong.  If that holds little comfort to you right now, know that I read your confession and am going to hold it tight to me, and that someone out there knows what you’re going through, and that you’re not alone.
